28 ott 2006 · On February 4, 1943, in an American Basketball League game at the Madrid Palestra in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Arnold “Red” Auerbach scored 1 point for the home team in a 45-38 loss to the Philadelphia Sphas. It would be the only point in the only professional basketball game he would appear in as a player.

29 ott 2006 · BOSTON - The Boston Celtics regretfully announce the passing of President Arnold 'Red' Auerbach. Auerbach, 89 and who was born on September 20, 1917, passed away suddenly today in Washington, DC.
23 giu 2022 · Prior to the 1965-66 season, Auerbach announced that season would be his last as coach. He went out with his eighth straight title and ninth overall. He went on to serve as president and GM of the team until his death in 2006. While working as a front-office executive, Auerbach racked up seven more championships.
