3 mag 2023 · ‘The Power Of And’ is the long-awaited solo debut from The Spongetones founder Steve Stoeckel. For decades, Steve Stoeckel has been penning and performing highlight compositions with his legendary band, on duo recordings with fellow Spongetone Jamie Hoover, and most recently as part of the far-flung collective POP CO-OP.
Steve Stoeckel (bass, ukulele, vocals, guitars, songwriting). Stoeckel was the band's original bassist. He quit the band in 1985 but rejoined in 1989 and is with the band today. He began playing professionally in the early 70's before becoming a Spongetone.
23 feb 2022 · The Beatles’ music was not being heard much on the radio. And Jake Berger, Steve Stoeckel, Rob Thorne, and Pat Walters (the musicians above) had been playing professionally all that time and wanted to hear it played well. They suspected they weren’t alone. And they were right.

I released five albums with fellow Spongetone Jamie Hoover under the name "Jamie and Steve." Also, three albums with Pop Co-Op, a collaborative group with Joel Tinnel, Bruce Gordon and Stacy Carson. I released my first solo album The Power of And on Big Stir Records in 2023.
