Brian Wilson Aldiss est un écrivain britannique de science-fiction, d'essais et de littérature générale. Après ses études, il est engagé par l’armée et participe à plusieurs campagnes en Inde et en Asie du Sud-Est, en Birmanie. Il reviendra en 1947 et ouvrira alors une librairie à Oxford.
