23 mag 2024 · On the other hand, supporters of the Dracula franchise are eager to see how the storyline will progress. They believe that “Dracula Untold 2” has the potential to breathe new life into the character and provide audiences with a fresh take on a classic tale of horror and redemption.
First, some good news: “Dracula Untold,” a sort of “Batman Begins” prequel, isn’t as tacky as it sounds. There are glimmers of a brooding and icky horror epic scattered throughout the film, particularly in its surprisingly romantic, matte-painting-esque backdrops and impressionistic vampire’s-point-of-view shots.
Vlad Tepes is a great hero, but when he learns the Sultan is preparing for battle and needs to form an army of 1,000 boys, he vows to find a way to protect his family. Vlad turns to dark forces in order to get the power to destroy his enemies and agrees to go from hero to monster as he's turned into the mythological vampire, Dracula.
