9 giu 2020 · correct. that's it. you just paste the url, get the message that there is "free space left" and watch as nothing happens. and then click on every available pixel, mocked by the message claiming that you've succeeded when in reality nothing has happened, no automatic download, no download link, no download request, nothing.
15 mar 2022 · Steam workshop available on the steam deck? Yes, though it's still not optimized for controls so you have to use touch screen. Or switch to desktop environment. You can find workshop in big picture at game > game info tab> under that little more tabs like store and such and the end of those is workshop.

It essentially have Steam download the workshop content, then: The game moves it into its respective folders. In-app downloading can be done using the Steamworks SDK and can bypass the workshop folder completely (because we wouldn’t want the same thing to be saved and downloaded twice).
6 ago 2022 · The first one you linked still works, you just have to use SteamCMD to download it which is easy to install, they just won't upload the files to their server so that they can stay legitimate in Steam's eyes. steam cmd doesnt work for anon protected mods. Second link gives outdated mods.
20 feb 2023 · I want to download some mods for a game but can't use the workshop since I have the game from gog.com (yes I know, not really piracy but r/Steam put my post on hold and I'm really hoping y'all can help, just pretend it's pirated game for a moment) and so far all of the sites/programs I've found have stopped working or use SteamCMD which doesn't support the game.
19 feb 2024 · In general, if you don't want to buy the game on Steam (just vanilla XCOM 2 is enough to download WOTC mods), your best is skymods, which as far as I know is a perfect mirror of the workshop. Then you will download steamworkshop mod's zip file. It appears WorkshopDL and SteamCMD no longer work for non-Steam versions of XCOM2?
