The 9th Life of Louis Drax is incredibly well-acted, occasionally thought-provoking, and as usual for an Alexandre Aja film, rich with good ideas and stunning visuals, but it's unfortunately let down by underdeveloped supporting characters, boring melodrama and romance, and disappointing twists.

The film was based on the book of the same name. With a decent cast and production, the film somewhat achieved its goal. The screenplay was not that bad, but the contents lacked.
