Giorgos Xylouris (Greek: Γιώργoς Ξυλούρης, born September 25, 1965), also known as Psarogiorgis (Greek: Ψαρογιώργης), is a Cretan laouto player and singer.
20 nov 2015 · Giorgis Xylouris, son of late Cretan singer-songwriter Nikos Xylouris, died on Thursday of injuries he sustained in a road accident on the same day. According to cretapost.gr, the accident occurred on the Athens-Lamia highway near Nea Kifissia, when Xylouris's motorcycle collided with a taxi.

Nikos Xylouris (Greek: Νίκος Ξυλούρης, 7 July 1936 – 8 February 1980), Cretan nickname: Psaronikos (Ψαρονίκος), was a Greek singer, Cretan Lyra player and composer. Xylouris' music encompassed both rural traditional and urban orchestral music, and he has been referred to by the honorific moniker Archangel of Crete.
Giorgos Xylouris, or 'Psarogiorgis', as he is known in Crete, comes from Anogeia, a village with vibrant living traditions spanning many generations. Giorgos was influenced by his father and two uncles and played the mandolin and the laouto at the age of 11, accompanying his father at events all over Crete.
