Dennis Roy Wilcock was the singer and frontman of Iron Maiden from late 1976 to 1978. He introduced theatrics to Iron Maiden and was a huge Kiss fan, using fake blood, fire and face paint in his performances.

He was replaced by Dennis Wilcock, a Kiss fan who used makeup and fake blood during live performances. Wilcock's friend, guitarist Dave Murray, was invited to join, much to the dismay of the band's guitarists Dave Sullivan and Terry Rance.
