Lori Black (born April 9, 1954), also known as Lorax, is an American musician born in Santa Monica, California. She played bass for Clown Alley and for the sludge metal band Melvins. Her father was the businessman Charles Alden Black and her mother was Shirley Temple, the popular 1930s child actress who became a diplomat in adulthood.

Lori Black is a bassist best known for her tenures in Clown Alley and Melvins. She is also the daughter of film icon Shirley Temple. Lori began her career with crossover band Clown Alley, which also had future Melvins bassist Mark Deutrom on guitar.
Lori "Lorax" Black (daughter of Shirley Temple) replaced Lukin on bass. The band recorded Ozma in May 1989, and released it later that year. The album was produced by Mark Deutrom , who later joined the band on bass.
