I see that Ms. Wilkenfeld posted at Twitter as recently as October 26 and November 4. Tweeting is a relatively easy way for a busy, touring musician to stay in touch with their fans. Look for her news on Twitter. Ms. Wilkenfeld is around, but she's busy, man. Let's wish her well and let her do her thing.
11 feb 2013 · Sorry I was mistaken - Roger did say "Black Label Nickels 40-100", not "Blue Label" as I mentioned above. And it was in 2010, so things may have changed since then. Sadowsky said: Tal uses Sadowsky Black Label Nickel 40-100. Roger.
7 mar 2009 · Nov 15, 2018. #30. As a bass player, I like Tal. She plays very well. I probably like her better as a sideman than a leader; her writing isn't that interesting to me. As a woman, I don't find her especially attractive. Not my type, or whatever. I suppose, as a bass player, Tal being a woman isn't really material to me.

17 nov 2009 · Tal Wilkenfeld I'm obviously bummed about the show, but this is no time for me to be griping... I just hope she is ok. From the sound of it, she will be rescheduling dates, so it sounds like she is ok, thank goodness. Just hope it wasn't serious and that she will be ok soon...
Tal must have little fingers of steel. Zombie thread back from the dead! Anyway, yeah DR Lo Riders are not particularly stiff. Stiffer than the round core DR's, but not real stiff overall. Tal uses light gauge strings, and I can only assume her Sadowsky is 34" scale, so it's probably pretty loose feeling.

26 feb 2012 · Definitely not something you’d hear and go “oh, this is a from a bassist’s album,” which is good. Yes, indeed a beautifully written and nicely arranged Song channeling some Irish folk traditions. The main focus is on the melody and not on “me-the-bass player”. The song has clearly pronounced Mood and lusciously-flowing Melody.
