I used it on Oghren once because I needed him to change from a dps focused warrior that I had him as in origins into a true tank after Ser Mhairi sadly died.

Dragon Age: Origins crashes a lot on modern PCs. One way to reduce or even eliminate this is by using NTCore's 4GB patch. This is a tool (not specific for this game) that patches x86 executables to allow them to use more memory. However, since this isn't officially supported or endorsed by BioWare or EA, I can't link to it.
