Niyaz (Persian: نياز) is an Iranian Canadian musical duo. The group was created in 2004 by DJ, programmer/producer and remixer Carmen Rizzo, vocalist and hammered dulcimer player Azam Ali, formerly of the group Vas, and Ali's husband, Loga Ramin Torkian, of the Iranian crossover group Axiom Of Choice.

Niyaz was founded in 2004 by captivating vocalist/ composer and two-time JUNO Award nominee Azam Ali, and multi-instrumentalist/ composer and JUNO Award nominee Loga Ramin Torkian.
Niyaz (pronounced NEE-ahz) is an acoustic electronic project that combies the talents of vocalist Azam Ali (of Vas), Loga Ramin Torkian (of Axiom Of Choice) and producer Carmen Rizzo to creature a fusion of Persian and Indian-influenced music with modern electronics.
