13 mag 2022 · Windows 2.0 is a 16-bit operating environment from Microsoft released on December 9, 1987, as a successor to Windows 1.0. Windows 2.0, 2.01, and 2.03 are shells for the MS-DOS system, providing a graphical user interface for improved interaction over the command-line interface of DOS.
Windows 2 changes from Windows 1.x consist mainly of visual improvements. Windows 2 adds overlapping windows, menu keyboard shortcuts, VGA support, and other user interface changes influenced by IBM standards.
