27 nov 2018 · Especially for something like the Digione Sig, where the “clean side” power connector bypasses the RPi’s regulation, there wouldn’t necessarily be any noise suppression. @Modellbobby , FWIW besides the Shanti, Allo also offered a 5V/2.85A “low noise” SMPS called the Nirvana. I have no experience with it.

3 gen 2020 · It recovers the clock signal and generates clean i2s clock signals with the needed frequency for the datatransfer from the Pi (Digione is clock master and Pi clock slave). 19 nov 2018 · The same RPi 3+ and Volumio versions was used in each board. Digione Signature (DS) and PI2AES boards was powered separately from RPi. For Digione SIgnature a Li-ion battery pack from Allo was used as clear power source. Compact 12v lead battery was used to power PI2AES. Standard but good 5V power adapters used to power RPi in both cases.

My current 2 channel domestic setup consists of 2 x KH80's and 1 x KH750 with my source an etherneted RPI 4/Allo Digione Hat running Volumio going BNC out directly into the KH750 for it to do its DSP magic in conjunction with the KH80's.
6 feb 2018 · There are a number of much cheaper s/pdif boards for the pi such as the hifiberry digiplus, which even in its pro incarnation costs only £32., aside from the allo digione which didn't get signed and costs less than half the price of the signature.

2 nov 2020 · I'm playing this mind game now. My 2009 MacMini has finally outlived its usefulness. I want to be able to stream Amazon Ultra HD and I'm looking at the DigiOne Signature/RPi, but I'm not sure of the software. I'm not a RPi person yet, but I'm looking forward to learning. I have a SMLS SU-9 DAC that has spdif input.
