Focus is a Dutch rock band which was founded by the classical trained organist and flutist Thijs Van Leer in 1969. So, initially, Focus comprised the keyboardist and flutist Thijs Van Leer, the guitarist Jan Akkerman, the bassist Martin Dresden and the drummer Hans Cleuver.
