  2. 12 apr 2008 · When I was a kid, it was "funniest," but somewhere along the line they seem to have changed the rule, because now I hear "most funny" and "most happy" everywhere. My understanding has been that two syllable words can be treated in two ways: 1) "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." 2) "That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard."

  3. 26 lug 2010 · Hi forum. I thought fun guy and funny guy were interchangeable, but today some people told me they're not. So I want to ask if they're same in most situations?

This can happen when you overload the circuit by plugging too many things into it, for example. You reset the circuit or replace the burnt-out fuse and the light bulb (along with the other items on that circuit) comes back on.

  9. 11 mar 2007 · Cheers is just a brindisi, and the addition of "big ears" is just a funny phrase in which you are calling someone "orrechione" (or something similar). The rhyme is cheers/ears. The second, I think might be better said "The way it goes, big nose" is the same - goes/nose. You have in Italian: Saluti a tutti - it rhymes, and you probably have ...

  10. 11 mar 2016 · Sun, "fun time" means something totally different from either of the two possible meanings of "funny time". Google results are therefore totally meaningless. Fun time : an enjoyable period. Funny time (1) : a strange period. Funny time (2) : a period for laughing - note that this is very different from "enjoyable", even though most of us enjoy ...
