Harrodian is a co-educational school for pupils aged 4-18, located between Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes Bridge on the Thames. It offers a balanced and diverse curriculum, excellent academic standards and a warm and supportive community.
Our history. Harrodian was founded in 1993. Before that our riverside location on the south bank of the Thames in Barnes served as a farm, a private residence and a sports club. This time line charts the history of our beautiful site as well as Harrodian's growth into maturity over its first quarter century as a school.
Harrodian is located between Hammersmith Bridge (currently closed for vehicles but open to pedestrians and cyclists) and Barnes Bridge on Lonsdale Road, along the south bank of the Thames. The nearest underground is at Hammersmith. The nearest overland rail station is Barnes Bridge, and buses stop very near our entry gates.
The Harrodian School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 4 to 18, located in Barnes, south-west London on the former site of the Harrods Sports Club. The fees are between £17,205 - £26,430 pa and the school does not offer boarding.
