Research at Guildhall School explores fundamental questions about the creative arts. It embraces a wide range of disciplines within music and drama including composition, performance, pedagogy, institution studies, historical musicology, music and literature studies, cultural history, electronic music, creative writing and music therapy.
Of the 1000 students across our programmes, 35 per cent come from outside Britain, representing more than 40 countries, and we welcome applications from all international academic backgrounds. The Electronic and Produced Music Department provides a range of specialist disciplines within which to study a wide array of electronic and produced music, from experimental Sonic Art to mainstream Film Scoring.
