3 feb 2024 · John. Mays. It is with humble hearts that we announce the passing of John James Mays on January 27, 2024, a few short weeks shy of his 96th birthday. His wife, RoseMarie, was by his side and will miss him dearly. John was the eldest son and last surviving child of Myrtle (née Boyle of Dawn Mills near Dresden) and James Xavier Mays of Chatham.
Dr. Esther completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute in 2023. While in training, Dr. Esther enjoyed providing care to U.S. Veterans at the Salt Lake City V.A. clinic. Dr. Esther was immersed in the medical field from an early age as his father was a physician and his mother was a nurse.
