4 mar 1992 · Actress Sandy Dennis, who won an Academy Award for her performance in the movie, "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf," has died, a friend confirmed Wednesday. She was 54. Doris Elliott, a longtime friend, said she was told by the veteran actress' agent, Bill Treusch, that Dennis had died. Her Death was first reported to only a few close friends.
