'Entertaining Mr Sloane' is probably Orton's most censor-baiting play, dealing with such issues as homosexuality, nymphomania, sadism, and murder. With a cast of four - Beryl Reid and Harry Andrews as Kath and Ed, the twisted siblings, Peter McEnery as Mr Sloane, and Alan Webb as Da Da - this play almost survives intact, and is very well played.

Entertaining Mr Sloane is a 1970 British black comedy film directed by Douglas Hickox. The screenplay by Clive Exton is based on the 1964 play of the same title by Joe Orton. This was the second adaptation of the play, the first having been developed for British television and broadcast by ITV on 15 July 1968.
