Duidelijk geen Hollywood-produktie. Een soort van jaren 70 independent-feertje straalt het uit. Een sfeerfilm, maar deze stijgt bij mij nog uit boven een vergelijkbare film als The Station Agent.

  5. 1 gen 1973 · It's tragic that the only place one might find this is tucked away in an old library (or here for a ridiculous price). Check out a copy, or borrow one, but read this book! And, for the love of all that is good and sacred, skip the awful film version that slaughtered everything amazing about the novel.

  6. After that film, I had to make a 180 on my view. He was exceptional. I've liked him a lot in most everything he's been in, but a Hawk is Dying is a work that I am sure he will always remember. This was a perfect film for his unique, everyday man, with enormous depth and complexity (like most of us everyday people).
