Although onscreen credits read "and introducing" Erik Schumann, The Two Headed Spy was not his film debut. Schumann had been billed as "Eric Schumann" in several previous films. The Daily Variety , New York Times and Variety reviews variously misspell Harriet Johns's name as Henriette or Harriette.
The Two-Headed Spy. The film was almost complete fiction. Colonel Alex Scotland did serve with the German Army between 1903 and 1907. However during the Second World War he was in charge of the London centre for the interrogation of prisoners of war. According to Denis Gifford in his article "Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler?"
