31 mar 2018 · In an earlier adaptation by ITV, Ordeal by Innocence was repositioned as part of the Agatha Christie’s Marple series, adding the cosy crime heroine to the mix in the form of Geraldine McEwan. But without a beloved detective at the heart of this murder mystery, all bets are off – any one of the house guests could equally be the murderer, or meet a sticky end at any moment.
Miss Marple investigates with the help of Jane Cooper, also a hotel maid. When an attempt is made on the life of a hotel guest, Elvira Blake, and Micky Gorman is accidentally killed instead, the two Janes work together to find the motive and the identity of the killer. 10. 2. "Ordeal by Innocence".

Ordeal by Innocence is a mixture of a murder-mystery and psychological thriller, and in my view, inclining more towards the latter. I'm a mystery fan than that of a thriller because I do like the business of collecting and evaluating evidence (I think that comes from the lawyer within me :) ) Perhaps, that was the reason for my disappointment.
