Breakfasts are available from 8am-8.40am in the sixth form dining room as part of our extended school facilities. Our school day starts at 8.45 am. Students have fifteen minutes Tutor Time/Assembly Time every morning. Assemblies take place twice a week for each year group – one is a Year Assembly and the other is a half-school Assembly.
In more normal times, Owen’s musicians also have multiple opportunities to perform outside of school. In recent years, the Dame Alice Owen’s Concert Band, Senior Strings, Close Harmony Group and Octet have taken part in the Regional and National Festivals of Music for Youth, both live and in the online 50 th Anniversary celebration of 2020.

There were 106 Hertfordshire school teams from Year 7 who entered the competition, with 21 invited to the final. Our Dame Alice Owen’s teams were incredible and finished in 1st and 2nd place!
