1 gen 2014 · Part 2 of Appendix 2 provides a continuation of our cursory overview of Einstein’s Static Universe: An Idea Whose Time Has Come Back. Evidently the theory of chronometric cosmology says that Einstein’s Universe may indeed be the correct model of our universe.
Einstein’s static model is the first relativistic cosmological model. The model is static, finite and of spherical spatial symmetry. I use the solution of Einstein’s field equations in a homogeneous and isotropic universe — Friedmann’s equation — to calculate the radius of curva-ture of the model (also known as Einstein’s universe).
