Carey continued to record soundtracks. In 1987 he released Bedtime Story (soundtrack for the German film Lethal Obsession) on Teldec. Chris Thompson sang backing vocals, and Peter Maffay co-wrote three of the tracks. Carey also recorded the soundtrack for Wilder Westen Inclusive, a three-part television film directed by Dieter Wedel.
