John Leroy "Roy" Atwell (May 2, 1878 – February 6, 1962) was an American actor, comedian and composer, known for playing characters that mis-deliver their lines or stammer, most notably Doc from Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Biografia. Iniziò a recitare attorno al 1920 in numerosi film. Lavorò anche come doppiatore nel film Biancaneve e i sette nani del 1937 in cui dà la voce a Dotto. Si sposò tre volte: prima nel 1907 con l'attrice Blanche West; poi dal 1913 al 1916 con Dorothy Young e dal 1916 al 1936 con l'organista Ethel Smith.
Roy Atwell. Actor, comedian, and composer, educated at the Sargent School of Acting. His Broadway stage appearances included "The Little Missus", "The Mimic World", "The Firefly", and "How's Your Health?". He was a member of the Fortune Gallo Opera Company, and joined ASCAP in 1957.

John Leroy “Roy” Atwell was born in Syracuse, New York, on May 2, 1878, to Joseph and Louisa Atwell. As a child, he organized amateur plays in a neighborhood barn with his friends, later inspiring him to pursue theater. His time in traditional schooling ended with 8th grade.
