Deathwatch è tutto fuorché un horror banale. Il regista dimostra un'ottima conoscenza e una buona predisposizione al genere, purtroppo rara in molteplici opere prime (come lo è questa). Ma è proprio il monotono (ed un tantino grigio) scenario che prevalica le ottime interpretazioni, i buoni propositi di fondo e lo sviluppo, purtroppo appiattito sul medesimo fondale (la trincea).
As I heard it, Deathwatch was perceived as a zombie flick, hence my anticipation, ad I am a fan of the genre. However anyone who expects a zombie film out of Deathwatch have been misled, since the film is more of a psychological type of horror than the usual monster feature.
