Rapa Nui, invece, è tuttoggi ricordato come un grande flop cinematografico. Inevitabilmente, si potrebbe aggiungere. Frammentario, ridondante, estremamente piatto.

Handlung. Rapa Nui spielt auf der Osterinsel, lange bevor diese 1722 von holländischen Seefahrern entdeckt wurde. Zu dieser Zeit gibt es laut Film auf der Osterinsel zwei Stämme: Die Kurzohren und die Langohren. Die Langohren sind der Stamm, der das Sagen hat; die Kurzohren werden von ihnen unterdrückt und müssen die Arbeiten verrichten.
