7 mar 2024 · fazit. Ein Flugzeug stürzt aus ungeklärten Gründen ab, die Antwort scheint in einer seltsamen Nachricht aus dem All zu liegen. Als Szenario ist das nicht schlecht. Die Umsetzung enttäuscht jedoch: „Das Signal“ hakt unzählige Klischees ab und wird dabei auch noch völlig unsinnig.
Dark Signal is ambitious and plays its horror and mystery dead straight, a refreshing approach that proves just how sincere Evers-Swindel is about his first film.

7 mar 2024 · Trotzdem ist "Das Signal" von Überflieger "Dark" doch ein ganzes Stückchen entfernt. Dazu ist die Story zu stringent , zu klassisch erzählt, das Mysterium zu wenig episch. Die Twists kommen, um sich der übergeordneten Stimmung der Serie anzugleichen, mit leisen Sohlen daher, auch wenn es manchmal einen Paukenschlag nötig gehabt hätte.

Yet “Dark Signal” happens to be the best kind of strangely structured movie because it is so scattershot, it becomes fascinating to watch unfold. The film follows a bumpy path for sure. But at least it’s an oddly enjoyable ...
28 apr 2016 · The strong performances elevates the film and it is through the careful nurture by Evers-Swindell that Dark Signal gets a much needed boost. This is not a film to be seen if you are an impatient viewer but if you like your indie horror subtle and nicely crafted then this is the one for you. Words: Jon Dickinson (@marvelguy)
