Following a vibrant cultural education from her creative family and the fearless post-punk band The Slits, Cherry’s solo career exploded with her seminal 1988 single Buffalo Stance, which appeared on her debut solo album Raw Like Sushi the following year.
The Face was founded in 1980 by NME and Smash Hits editor Nick Logan as a monthly magazine that soon became a benchmark for what was trending in film, music, fashion, photography and youth culture.
