Hannah Peel (keyboards, violin) and Serafina Steer (keyboards, bass) accompanied them for live performances in 2011 and 2012. Robin Simon (also ex Ultravox) joins The Maths for the album Howl . Indeed his latest album, Howl – produced as part of John Foxx and The Maths with long-time collaborator Ben Edwards aka Benge, master (and abuser) of the violin Hannah Peel, and guitarist extraordinaire Robin Simon – is in part at least, their reaction to the current climate.
Un'opera forse più adatta a un ipotetico museo di storia dell'elettronica che al mercato discografico. Neanche il tempo di recepire appieno, approfondire e portare alla luce il primo lavoro, che il duo Foxx-Benge ritorna, ancora una volta sotto il nome di John Foxx And The Maths, con il secondo capitolo, questo "The Shape Of Things".
21 mar 2011 · The sound of this album is interesting, sound sources are mainly analogue synths, but everything is treated and mixed in a modern studio. What turns out is a modern production with the "warm" analogue synth sound. Very creative treatment of vocals also, and I would like to add, John Foxx' vocals are really good. Fine texts!
