  1. Welcome to Goodricke College! We’re one of Yorks oldest colleges, named after the deaf astronomer John Goodricke. At just 21 years of age, Goodricke discovered two ‘variable’ stars in one evening, along with Edward Piggott (only four had been discovered prior).

  2. Goodricke College is a college of the University of York. It was founded in 1968 and named after the astronomer John Goodricke. The college has approximately 1500 undergraduate members, of which some 500 live in college accommodation, and about 140 postgraduate members, of which most live in college accommodation.

  4. A bout. Goodricke College cares strongly about the personal and academic development of its students, and above all fostering an exceptional community spirit. Goodricke is located on the University of York, Campus East and is home to around 600 resident students, with roughly 1850 members overall.

  5. Goodricke College has a mix of flats and houses with ensuite and shared bathroom accommodation. The first college to move to Campus East, Goodricke is organised in three grassy courts of flats and houses with large, social kitchens, set around the Goodricke Nucleus reception and common room.
