25 ott 2020 · In the early 2000s, I was in the West Edmonton Mall while on vacation and wandered through a record store. I came across a greatest hits compilation for the band, Then Again: A Retrospective. I don’t know if it was nostalgia, but I had a pang of guilt – “this was a good band,” I thought, “I should own some of their music.”
Martha and the Muffins are a Canadian new wave band, active from 1977 to the present. After a long hiatus, the duo returned as Martha and the Muffins for the 1992 album Modern Lullaby. The group’s legacy was rediscovered by a new generation with the release of the 1998 compilation album Then Again: A Retrospective. Martha and the Muffins continued to play live but did not return with a new album until 20120’s Delicate.
