Following her Brat Pack success, though Ally Sheedy seemed to many to have suddenly dropped out of sight, she did in fact continue acting, only in low budget projects rather than the big studio productions she previously signed on for. Later, in a series of 1998 interviews, Sheedy explained why she turned her back on Hollywood years earlier.
