American Gothic è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere drammatico creata da Corinne Brinkerhoff. La CBS annunciò una stagione di 13 episodi il 9 ottobre 2015. La serie è andata in onda per la prima volta il 22 giugno 2016. [1] Il 17 ottobre 2016 la CBS cancella la serie dopo una stagione. [2]

Like the Mona Lisa , it remains an enigmatic composition, but one which has become an icon of American art of the 20th century as well as one of the greatest paintings of Midwest Americana.
American Gothic är en målning från 1930 av den amerikanske konstnären Grant Wood (1891–1942) som tillhör samlingarna på Art Institute of Chicago. [ 1 ] Grant Woods inspiration till målningen kom från ett lantligt hus i Iowa och beslutet att måla tavlan kom med tanken på "de slags människor jag tänkte kunde bo i huset".
