Into The Gap featured what would be the Thompson Twins mega hits. The infectiously catchy Doctor Doctor with a landmark Prophet 5 synth solo. Alongside the teeny Hold Me Now, which for checking off all the boxes of a stereotypical 80's pop tune, is gorgeously mixed, and full of layers and all kinds of elements to pull out on differing listens.
This US edition has a Japan-pressed disc. Unlike the US edition with a US-pressed disc, "DIDX 4" and "Manufactured in Japan for" are present on the disc face. Durations printed on disc face are 4:38, 4:23, 4:42, 3:50, 4:04, 4:43, 5:04, 5:26, 5:17 — actual durations mastered on the disc vary slightly and are shown in the tracklist, rounded down.
