  4. The David Geffen School of Drama welcomes applications from students from around the world. All applications are carefully reviewed regardless of citizenship or country of residence. Students applying from abroad follow essentially the same procedure and have the same application requirements as all other students.

  5. Once the first round of auditions is completed, approximately 34 applicants are invited to David Geffen School of Drama for a two-day callback session. During this time, candidates for acceptance have the opportunity to meet and take classes with faculty, talk with current students and department administrators, and learn more about the School of Drama and the city of New Haven.

In addition to full tuition support, the School also has a need-based financial aid policy to ensure that all qualified students with demonstrated financial need will have the opportunity to attend Yale.* Each year, the School awards a substantial amount of financial aid, totaling more than $11 million in 2023–2024.
