Helen O’Hanlon’s charming film Mirette brings Emily Arnold McCully’s award winning book Mirette on the High Wire to life, this timeless tale stars BAFTA award winner Miriam Margolyes, OSCAR nominee & TONY winner Tom Conti, and Dixie Egerickx, who is about to star alongside Colin Firth and Julie Walters in The Secret Garden.
Given the type of story Mirette is, I’m actually quite surprised that this was a live-action short and not an animation. It has the feel of Sylvain Chomet’s L’Illusionniste and you could easily see Mme Gateau’s boarding house as the kind of place that Chomet’s conjurer’s parents or grandparents would have frequented in Paris.

Stecche e mirette sono strumenti utilizzati per la modellazione di materia plastica, come l'argilla, terraglia, gesso ecc.., utilizzati per modificare del materiale plastico, o per esportarlo scavando. Vengono inoltre usati per lavorazioni in punti stretti e difficilmente lavorabili con le mani.
