Queensland Premiere. Hugo Weaving once again surprises us with his versatile acting in The Rooster, an intriguing film centred around the unlikely bond between a small-town cop (Phoenix Raei) and an erratic hermit (Hugo Weaving) who meet after the harrowing death of a town local.
2 gen 2006 · There had been plans for another film featuring the character Rooster Cogburn, to be entitled "Someday", but it was canceled when this movie proved to be only a moderate hit at the box office. In addition Paramount Pictures felt that John Wayne had become too old to carry a successful movie, and that in any case audiences in the mid-1970s were not interested in westerns.

8 ott 2014 · Though he never packed a badge, Rooster meted out his own brand of justice, taking on a posse of U.S. deputy marshals in a blazing showdown of gunfire and blood. A wanted man with a $500 reward on his head, Rooster would ultimately have to defend himself before a hanging judge.
For anyone with even a passing interest in the Golden Age of Hollywood, Rooster Cogburn (1975) is required viewing. The admittedly formulaic Western brought together the iconic screen figures John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn--for the first and only time, and in the twilight of their careers - and demonstrated each one's considerable personal charisma to be wholly complementary.
