Das zu sentimentale, überladene Tod-Verdrängungsdrama Grace Is Gone weiß deshalb nur in Einzelszenen, aber nicht als Ganzes zu überzeugen. Seit einiger Zeit ist die Familie Phillips auseinander gerissen. Denn Grace ist Sergeant bei der US-Armee und kämpft für ihr Land im Irak.
