10 feb 2023 · The Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety questioned Wopke Hoekstra from the Netherlands, Commissioner-designate for Climate Action. During his introductory speech , Mr Hoekstra stressed that the Green Deal lays the foundation for the EU’s green transition and underlined that it is of utmost importance to maintain continuity in the EU’s climate ambitions.
Wopke Hoekstra. Wopke Bastiaan Hoekstra (* 30. September 1975 in Bennekom) ist ein niederländischer Politiker der Partei CDA, deren Vorsitzender er von 2020 bis 2023 war. Von 2017 bis 2022 war er Finanzminister im Kabinett Rutte III. Im Kabinett Rutte IV leitet er von Januar 2022 bis September 2023 das Außenministerium.
