Ylva Anna Maria Lindhová se politicky angažovala již od raného mládí a byla jednou z nejvlivnějších osobností moderní švédské politiky. Narodila se v roce 1957. Krátce po absolvování právnického studia na univerzitě v Uppsale byla v roce 1982 zvolena do parlamentu.

Anna Lindh kuoli traagisesti syyskuussa 2003. Häntä puukotet-tiin aivan yllättäen, kun hän oli ostoksilla tukholmalaisessa tavaratalossa.
