19 feb 2004 · This wonderful movie takes place in the deep Appalachian mountains. It tells about the old ballad songs and how they got started by handing down from family members to the next generation. The countryside and music of the Appalachian mountains is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this movie for those that love old ballad songs!
Lily tries slapping at Tom while mad at him. A woman holds a gun on Lily and Deladis when they stop by for an unexpected visit. Fate and another man throw lit torches into the schoolhouse, catching it on fire and causing it to burn to the ground (in response to discovering that Elna and Harriet are lovers).
