Given the limitations mentioned above, the army compromised and developed a modified divisional organization for use in the desert that could be equipped within Italy’s limited means. 1 apr 2020 · The division setups themselves were basically good. Also please note that Italian special forces like the Alpini, Folgore and the Bersaglieri battalions could take on every enemy head on at any given point during the whole war. They were at least good by any imagineable standard.
