25 mag 2022 · Babes in Toyland is based on a 1997 film of the same name. Toyland has just manufactured a huge load of toys to be picked up by Santa Claus to fulfill the jolly old elf's Christmas order. Just before Santa is scheduled for pickup, Barnaby the villain and his hench-cat swipe the toys and scatter them about Toyland.
The operetta had two previous film versions. In 1934, Laurel and Hardy starred in "March of the Wooden Soldiers," and in 1961, Jack Donahue directed "Babes in Toyland" for Disney. Two television versions (1950 and 1954) preceded this one. Aired in United States December 19, 1986. Released in United States on Video November 21, 1991
8 dic 2014 · Babes in Toyland was a kid’s pleasure, and a parent’s nightmare. I can’t however hate it. I was born in 1989, so this film had long since premiered and most likely blocked out of mind for every actor involved, but every holiday season for most of the 90’s I dug its green boxed sleeve out from our Christmas decoration and movie box and watched it rather ad nauseum.
