This film was shelved following the tragic death of Sharon Tate. It's a delight to see it resurface. It's a simple tale of an alcaholic estranged father taking his daughter to the seaside on a rainy day and gradually drinking himself into a stupor. The girl's acting is magnificent for one so young. The film does have a few dated quirks.
