12 lug 2023 · The Tutor’s ending reveals that almost none of Jackson’s life, as presented in the film, was real. He wasn’t enrolled in the school that he claimed to attend, his father was a paid actor since his real father had already died years earlier, and his family home was actually an acquaintance’s mansion borrowed while their family was on vacation.
Thoughts: An interesting film made clearly on a minuscule budget, there were a few scenes that felt overly long and some that felt downright unnecessary but overall it was quite well made and compelling. A kind of modern day take on the turn of the screw. A really engaging adaptation of The Turn of the Screw.
