21 giu 2023 · Last month, Sebastien Barrau graduated from NOCCA's Classical Instrumental Music department. This fall, he'll begin his freshman year at Yale University (on a full scholarship!), where he'll continue his study of music performance and composition.
In 1976, he co-founded the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. A founding board member of Prospect New Orleans, Fagaly was also board member of Newcomb Art Museum, the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts high school (NOCCA), Congo Square Preservation Society and A Studio in the Woods, an artists residency program in New Orleans.

Founded in 1973, NOCCA is partially a product of 1960s politics like the passing of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the creation of the National Endowment for the Arts (both in 1965).
